Dalia Motiejunas has been a nurse for 46 years, and has spent five of those years in our Radiation Oncology department.
Dalia’s dream to become a nurse resulted from her experience volunteering at a nursing home during the holidays, where she got to act as a caregiver and be part of patients’ recovery. She continues her passion for helping people now by being an integral part of patients’ care, education and symptom management. She looks forward to coming to work each day, and loves that the Cherokee campus staff works as a team for the patients.
Some of Dalia’s favorite experiences include interactions with patients who come to us with positive spirits, even though they may not feel well, and maintaining relationships with them for many years to follow.
