Neuroradiology

Neuroradiology is a sub-specialty of radiology which focuses on imaging of the head, neck, brain and spine. Neuroradiologists and technologists use state of the art imaging equipment such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and diagnostic angiography (including conventional, CT and MRI angiography) to diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of neurological conditions.

Neuroradiology is an integral component of several Northside Hospital Areas of Excellence. Our Stroke Center is part of the most advanced emergency treatment network in Metro-Atlanta. Our stroke team includes leading neurologists, emergency medicine physicians, internal medicine physicians and neuroradiologists who specialize in diagnosing and treating strokes with the newest medicines and special procedures developed specifically for stroke patients. In addition, our state-of-the art facility is equipped with CT and MRI scanners that can help diagnose without delay, so patients can get the treatment they need – as soon as possible

Some of our neuroradiology procedures are:

CT Angiography (CTA)

Discograms

MRI Angiography (MRA)
