As an NCI Community Cancer Center, Northside Hospital leads the way in groundbreaking procedures for better outcomes and less invasive treatments for prostate cancer. In fact, more cases of the disease are diagnosed and treated at Northside than at any other community hospital in Georgia. Northside agrees with prostate cancer screening guidelines, established by the American Urological Association, which state that the PSA test is important in diagnosing prostate cancer at an early, more treatable stage in the course of the disease. Men are encouraged to talk with their health care provider to determine if screening for prostate cancer is right for them.
Northside Hospital prostate cancer screenings are free, but registration is required. Call (404) 531-4444 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.
