At Northside, we're lucky to have many employees who take time out of their busy schedules to lend a hand in the community. Christine Daigle, a Denial Management Specialist at our Atlanta campus, loves volunteering at Ashton Woods Nursing Home. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the great work that Christine does outside of Northside’s walls.
At Ashton Woods Nursing Home, Christine spends time volunteering with the seniors. Those in the home look forward to Christine’s monthly visit – along with her Yorkie, Sadie. “They love getting kisses from her,” says Christine.
For Christine, volunteering is her way to give back to the community. Christine was originally inspired to become involved with Ashton Woods after getting to know a fellow coworker, Sandra Johnson. “She was my inspiration to continue doing my part to help others,” says Christine. “Her dedication was tireless and I decided I needed to be more like her. I began my volunteer journey.”
Each year, Christine is also Northside’s captain for the Arthritis Walk in May. Christine says this is her second passion after volunteering, since she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and lost her mother to the disease.
“It’s just my way of life, helping whenever I can whether it is feeding the homeless or lending a hand in my neighborhood,” says Christine.
