Ashley Lane became a pharmacist in 2007 and has worked at Northside for eight years – her entire career! Ashley’s first job was at Northside’s Atlanta campus as a pharmacy resident. After completing her residency, Ashley transitioned to a role as the satellite pharmacist at Northside-Forsyth’s Women's Center/Neonatal unit.
Ashley’s interest in pharmacy began when she was a child: “My mother was a hospital pharmacist when I was little, so I grew up running around a pharmacy. I remember thinking that my mom was the coolest in her white lab coat.”
In college, Ashley went on a medical mission trip to Peru, where she realized the value of providing medication to those who are ill: “I could actually see their lives improve right in front of my eyes.”
Today, Ashley helps pregnant women and their babies who are admitted to our Special Care Nursery: “On a daily basis, I am blessed to be able to see a pregnant woman come into our facility, deliver her baby and go home with the biggest challenge and blessing life has to offer.”
