Northside Hospital-Forsyth has filed a Letter of Determination with the Georgia Department of Community Health to construct a new Medical Office Building (MOB) on its campus in Cumming, GA.
The new three-story, 75,000-square-foot, MOB will be constructed on the south side of the existing Women’s Center and will connect to the Center via a glass enclosed corridor. The design of the MOB will compliment the look and feel (design) of the Women’s Center (see attached proposed rendering).
“We continue to have a great deal of interest in our campus among physicians who want to locate here and be associated with our hospital,” said Skip Putnam, CEO of Northside Hospital-Forsyth. “Additionally, our women’s services continue to grow and expand and the need for additional obstetricians, gynecologists and other medical specialties continues to increase.”
The MOB will house a variety of physician specialties and practices and support the Women’s Center.
“We have received so many positive compliments about the Women’s Center since it opened in August 2008,” said Russ Davis, director of Marketing and Public Relations for Northside. “Deliveries have surpassed projections every year since the Center opened.”
Pending regulatory approval, Northside Hospital-Forsyth plans to break ground on the new MOB this fall. Construction is expected to take approximately eight months to complete (July, 2013).
