The Northside Hospital-Cherokee Auxiliary recently gathered to honor its volunteers who have achieved 1,000 hours of service and to recognize the 2015 Auxiliary scholarship recipients. The annual luncheon took place Friday, July 10 at Stratus Kitchen & Bar at Fairways of Canton.
“Our Auxiliary volunteers work hard each and every day to serve the hospital, our patients and the community,” said Billy Hayes, CEO, Northside Hospital-Cherokee. “Their contributions are extraordinary; I appreciate all that they do.”
The following Auxiliary volunteers were honored at the July 10 luncheon:

Recipients of the 2015 Northside Hospital-Cherokee Auxiliary Scholarship
also were announced at the event. The annual scholarship is
awarded to current Auxilians, Northside employees or immediate family
pursuing a health-related educational program as a student in an
accredited college, university or health-related technical school.
This year, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to:

• Courtney Knight (Canton)
• Amy McCloskey (Canton)
The Northside Hospital-Cherokee Auxiliary began serving the hospital and community in 1961 and is committed to service and education. Today, the organization has more than 80 active volunteers, who give more than 17,000 hours of service to Northside each year.
