Northside Hospital is pleased to announce its development of a new medical campus, further extending clinical excellence to the residents of East Cobb and surrounding communities. The 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical office building is expected to open in December 2016.
“The East Cobb area is growing fast, so we are excited to soon provide additional access to high-quality health care services all under one roof,” said Doug MacDonald, vice president of planning for Northside Hospital. “This is only phase one; Northside also has long-range plans for a multi-phase development to meet the community’s future needs.”
The facility will provide access to renowned physicians and a broad range of services, including imaging, primary care, urgent care, and other specialties. Located at Johnson Ferry Road and Olde Towne Parkway in Marietta, it will be easily accessible with abundant free parking for patients, visitors, and staff.
Northside Hospital has partnered with Realty Trust Group, Welltower Inc., and MedCraft Real Estate in developing the new East Cobb Medical Center. The architect is Howell Rusk Dodson and the general contractor is Brasfield & Gorrie.
An official groundbreaking ceremony was recently held to celebrate the start of construction, which included remarks from Northside and its partners, along with the ceremonial turning of the dirt. D.J. Shockley and Matt Bryant represented the Atlanta Falcons at the event and presented a donation to the Northside Hospital Foundation to support programs and services for prostate cancer patients.
