The care is provided in a safe, clean, and healthy environment that meets all standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). Program Enhancement Activities

Our program offers four special activities to enhance the educational experience of the children.  Music and Spanish classes are offered to all children enrolled in Toddler through school age classes. (Music and Spanish programs are offered at no additional cost.)

Music and Movement (dance) and Soccer classes are offered to children three years old and older. Classes are offered in eight-week sessions.  Parents may choose to enroll their child in these activities. An activity fee is required for dance and soccer.

Enrollment Requirements

Our program serves children (ages six weeks to twelve years of age) of Northside Hospital employees and physicians on staff and their employees. When space is available, other associates of the hospital are eligible to attend the program. Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis with the exception that priority is given to siblings of current program participants.

In order for a child to participate in the program, the following must be provided prior to the child’s starting date:
•    All necessary enrollment forms
•    Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231)
•    Proof of current health exam (all children will be required to have one exam upon enrollment and then annually thereafter)

In addition to the above, children enrolling in our Georgia PreK Program are required to provide:
•    Proof of Georgia residency
•    Birth Certificate
•    Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutritional Screening (DDH Form 3300)
•    Any additional registration forms required by Georgia for school enrollment.

NOTE:  Registration packets may be picked up at the Center.

If you experience challenges getting or completing these forms or other enrollment requirements, please let us know and we will assist you as needed. In the event that the enrollment information is not complete and on file within thirty days after enrollment, children may be temporarily removed from the Program. All child and family information must be kept current. Parents should notify the Center of any changes in address, family status, or child medical status.

After all enrollment information has been completed, an appointment is arranged for the parent and child to visit the center, talk with the Director and classroom teachers, and meet the staff. The child is accepted as soon as a space becomes available.

Re-enrollment Requirements

Each year in September, families must re-enroll in the center. To complete the re-enrollment process, a new enrollment package must be completed and returned to the Center. The annual re-enrollment fee is paid at this time.

Waiting List Policy

A waiting list is maintained for each age group as needed. Children are enrolled from the list on a “first come, first served” basis except in cases of sibling priority. Sibling priority is given when an older sibling is attending the Center full-time. If an older sibling is attending part-time, preference is given as part-time space becomes available. Part-time spaces, however, are limited in the Center.

Special Programs

Georgia PreK
Our program is fortunate to participate in Georgia's nationally recognized Pre-K Program.  Georgia PreK is a lottery funded educational program for Georgia's four year olds to prepare children for Kindergarten. Children four years of age on September 1 of the current school year who are Georgia residents are eligible to attend Georgia's Pre-K Program during this school year. Children are enrolled on a first come first served basis with the exception that children currently enrolled in Preschool who are eligible receive priority. Our PreK program operates from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Friday at no cost to parents. Extended day, holiday, and summer camp is also provided for PreK children. However, regular rates apply for these services.

Additional information on Georgia PreK can be found at:
