Everyone in the health care community "are living and working under an extraordinary set of circumstances, providing compassionate care, putting others before self, and performing numerous acts of heroism. They inspire us. They are the heart and soul of our community. And we owe them our heartfelt gratitude and thanks." - AJC Pulse Magazine
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution hosted its annual Celebrating Nurses Awards on May 11, honoring 10 local front-line heroes. Among them was Northside nurse Beth Dziczkowski.
Beth is a preceptor for new nurses in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Northside Hospital Cherokee. She also fills in for charge nurses and rapid response units.
“She is an extraordinary person and nurse. She is a highly skilled, extremely knowledgeable, compassionate team player who consistently picks up extra shifts to help the unit,” said colleague Coley King, who nominated Beth for the award.
"Beth never backs down from a challenging assignment and works efficiently to provide the best care possible,” Coley wrote in her nomination letter.
On behalf of everyone at Northside, we are so proud of Beth and all of our healers, our helpers - our heroes.
