Recovered COVID-19 Volunteers Needed

Plasma Donations for Treating COVID-19 (Convalescent Plasma)

Atlanta Blood Services is collecting convalescent plasma donations from individuals who have had a lab confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 and have fully recovered from a COVID-19 infection.

Qualified individuals must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Healthy.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Have previously tested positive for COVID-19 or had a positive COVID-19 antibody test.
  • Have been symptom-free for at least 14 days.
  • Successfully screened as a blood donor per FDA blood donation guidelines.

At the time of your appointment, please provide the following three items:

  1. One of the following:
    • COVID-19 test results at time of diagnosis
    • A positive COVID-19 antibody test*
  2. COVID-19 negative test results**
    • Picture Identification



    *The COVID-19 antibody test has not been FDA cleared or approved, but has been authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for use by authorized laboratories for detection of IgG antibodies against SARS CoV-2, not for any other viruses or pathogens. Furthermore, this test is authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the EUA of in vitro diagnostics for detection and/or diagnosis of COVID-19.*

    **If you have not had post recovery testing, you will be tested for COVID-19 again at the time of your donation and we will inform you of the results.**
