Colorectal Fellowship Program

Group of surgeons in a operating room

Our Program

Our program exposes fellows to all facets of colorectal surgery including complex anorectal disease, minimally invasive surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, sphincter sparing cancer surgery and extensive endoscopy experience. The diverse case load and variety of operative techniques encountered through our program have equipped our graduates for satisfying careers in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, positions with major HMO providers, hospital employed positions and faculty at large universities and clinics.

This program has helped me develop excellent technical skills by having dedicated time with each faculty member as well as a variety of techniques to observe. In my first year of private practice, I had the pleasure of bailing out several of my peers in the OR and endoscopy suite.

- Bradley Champagne, MD
2016-2017 colorectal fellow

This program provides its fellows with the ability to feel comfortable with all facets of colon and rectal surgery. It builds a foundation on which you can launch any future you choose.

- Erin King, MD
2013-2014 colorectal fellow

One of the best colorectal training programs across the country. There is a tremendous volume and breadth of cases, a diversity of techniques and a great quality of life.

- Maryam Saidy, MD
2015-2016 colorectal fellow

I could not believe the volume and diversity that this program has. You get the opportunity to learn from a team of experts and select whose technique you prefer. As someone who graduated from this program and took up the colorectal position at Kaiser Permanente nearby, I believe this program has equipped me with the colorectal skills and tact to handle complex colorectal cases and not be overwhelmed. If I had to do it over, I would still choose this program.

- Anthonia Adewole, MD
2015-2016 colorectal fellow
