Dr. Osayande is a graduate of the University of Benin in Benin City, Nigeria. She joined Gwinnett Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program in June of 2016 as the Assistant Residency Program Director. She completed her post graduate residency at Brody School of Medicine in East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina in 2008 and is a fellow of the National Institute for Program Directors Development (NIPDD) Program. She spent one year in private practice in Tarboro, North Carolina before joining the University of Texas South Western Medical Center Family Medicine Program Dallas as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine in 2010 where she spent six years; four as a core faculty and the last two as the Associate Program Director.
Her interests include residency education, medical and creative writing, Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and critical appraisal of medical literature, pediatric/adult obesity and Women’s health. She has published articles for the American Family Physician, Journal of Family Practice, and has numerous chapters in medical books and online literature. She also serves as a peer reviewer for various journals and online medical resources.
