Dr. Kim joined the faculty at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in 2018. Raised in sunny Newport Beach, CA, he attended UCLA where he received his Bachelor’s degree in anthropology. After studying acupuncture for 4 years, he attended University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, then completed Internal Medicine residency at University of Maryland, and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center.
Dr. Kim enjoys teaching and mentoring medical residents on the ICU rotation at Northside Hospital. He has special interests in mechanical ventilation, critical care ultrasound, pulmonary hypertension, and end-of-life care. Outside of work, he enjoys DIY home projects, working on project cars, and exploring many genres of music.
