Dr. Lane was born in Chester, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S in Rehabilitation Science and B.A in Spanish. After two years as a middle school science teacher, she embarked on a career in medicine. She earned her medical degree at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She received board certification in obesity medicine in 2021.
Dr. Lane’s professional interests include primary care medical education, global health, and health care for underserved populations. Dr. Lane is fluent in Spanish. Outside of medicine, her interests include running, cooking and international travel.
