Dr. Mark Sakr is a board-certified physician in family medicine and sports medicine who serves as Program Director for the Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute Division of Sports Medicine and the Northside Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Sakr specializes in non-operative orthopedics, providing diagnosis and care for sports-related injuries including fractures, sprains and tendon injuries, as well as care for concussions, performance medicine and medical conditions in athletes. Dr. Sakr has extensive experience serving athletes of all ages and skill levels, including pediatric, high school, college and professional athletes. He currently serves as a team physician for Georgia State University, USA Men’s 15s National Rugby Team and Olympic 7s Men’s and Women’s Rugby Teams, as well as associate team physician for multiple high schools in the Greater Atlanta area. Dr. Sakr has clinical interests and experience teaching at a national and regional level in therapeutic orthobiologics, ultrasound-guided procedures and diagnostics. He also has clinical interest in therapeutic orthobiologics, ultrasound-guided procedures and diagnostics, concussion management, nutrition and general sports medicine.
