Douglas C. Leder, DO joined the Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2020 after completing his residency in Family Medicine at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra - Northwell Health at Plainview Hospital. He graduated medical school in 2017 from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Leder completed his undergraduate education at Mount Saint Mary’s University where he earned a B.S. in Biology, and continued his studies at A.T. Still University with graduate work focused on the biochemistry and cell biology of melanoma. During residency, Dr. Leder provided medical coverage for several local youth sports teams and New York Road Runners mass participation events, including the NYC Marathon. Dr. Leder is passionate about providing excellent care to his patients, helping them make healthy lifestyle choices, expanding access to healthcare to vulnerable populations, and combating human trafficking within communities. As a native of the Jersey Shore, Dr. Leder enjoys spending his free time with his wife outdoors and on the water.
