The Northside Arthritis and Total Joint surgeons were among the first in Georgia to perform same day (outpatient) total joint replacements for hip and knee. We work in collaboration with the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute in diagnosing and treating tumors and tumor-like conditions of the bone. Among these are bone metastases, sarcomas, bone malignancies, and pathologic fractures. We manage musculoskeletal problems ranging in complexity from office evaluation or biopsy to multidisciplinary collaboration with key members of the sarcoma team for advanced surgical planning in association with chemotherapy and/or radiation. Surgical interventions range from palliative management, or stabilization of pathologic fractures, to excision of lesions, with or without reconstruction. The Northside multidisciplinary team comprised of medical, surgical and radiation oncology, interventional radiology and pathology will work closely with your referring physician.
