When we say we’re “built to beat cancer,” we’re talking about more than just our expert clinicians, advanced technology and leading-edge procedures. We’re also talking about our human connection to each person who walks through our doors. And you can count on this personal connection beyond your immediate diagnosis and treatment. Our bond continues after recovery, with wellness support services to keep you healthy through our survivorship program

Our philosophy is simple: We’re here for you, and we’re here for your loved ones. Perhaps that’s one reason why 95% of cancer patients recommend Northside to friends and family. Throughout your entire care experience — from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship — you can lean on us for expertise and understanding.

In fact, our Northside Hospitals have earned the Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from Healthgrades, year after year. That means our patient experience ranks in the top 15 percent of hospitals nationwide. And when the diagnosis is as life-changing as cancer, that support can make all the difference in the world.

A True Cancer Support Center to Heal the Whole Person

The impact of a cancer diagnosis goes beyond physical needs. Cancer touches every part of your life. It challenges you emotionally, spiritually, financially and practically.

So, we focus on healing the whole person. At Northside, you’ll experience 360-degree support centered on you and your family. In addition to discussing clinical options with you, including cutting-edge research and clinical trials, we provide helpful cancer resources designed to guide you through each day with as little disruption as possible.

Your team may include doctors, nurses, nurse navigators, social workers, dietitians, certified genetic counselors, rehabilitation specialists and many others specialty trained to work with cancer patients. All working together to help you during treatment and into recovery:

  • Our nurse navigators are your personal resource for clinical questions and information. But they can also help you emotionally by connecting you with the right cancer support groups, such as the Network of Hope
  • Our cancer care liaisons help identify and address any practical, financial or emotional barriers to care you may face. They can explain how to take advantage of many beneficial services and activities.
  • Our American Cancer Society patient resource navigator can help you access support services at the American Cancer Society and within the Northside Hospital system.
