Sleep Disorders Centers

Sleep affects your overall health and quality of life. Almost one-third of Americans have experienced a sleep problem at some point, which can cause decreased job performance, memory loss, depression, some cardiovascular conditions like high blood pressure and excessive sleepiness during the day. Sleep disorders that go untreated can result in serious medical conditions. For example, studies have linked untreated sleep apnea to diabetes, weight gain and obesity, and cardiovascular conditions including high blood pressure, arrhythmias, strong, heart failure and sometimes death.

Treatment of sleep disorders result in improved sleep quality, greater level of alertness, improved concentration, greater work productivity, increased attention, better memory, decreased utilization of medical services and improved cardiovascular health. Additionally, treating an individual’s snoring can improve sleep and quality of life for their partner.

Northside Hospital is dedicated to providing patients with comprehensive quality care throughout the treatment process. Using the latest technology in diagnosing and treating sleep-wake disorders for adults, our highly specialized team of sleep professionals have been treating and identifying causes of your sleep-related concerns since 1985.

Our Sleep Disorders Center offers comprehensive services for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of sleep complaints, as well as follow-up services with our specially trained medical staff. Our board-certified sleep medicine physicians provide consultations and diagnostic testing when appropriate. The medical director of our sleep testing facilities reviews all orders and medical histories to ensure customized and quality care for you. Our certified sleep technologists administer and score your sleep test before our physicians review and interpret your results. We also have a team of board-certified respiratory therapists on staff to set you up with CPAP devises (a common treatment for obstructive sleep apnea) and provide support from the same office as your sleep test. Our sleep medicine team ensures you receive accurate diagnoses and proper treatments for optimal outcomes.

The Northside Hospital Sleep Disorders Center is equipped to evaluate and treat sleep disorders of all types, including but not limited to:

Are you at risk for a sleep disorder?
