Northside Hospital Lights Up North Atlanta
November 10, 2006
Northside Hospital continues its 18-year tradition of lighting the December sky in Atlanta, Alpharetta and Forsyth with its annual Celebration of Lights on Saturday Dec 2 4:30-6:30 p.m.. In addition to the tree lighting this year’s big celebration will be held at Northside Hospital-Forsyth in Cumming following the tree lighting.
Everyone is invited to join us as Northside rings in the holidays with food, face painters, clowns and entertainment from local school bands, choruses, dancers and, of course, the lighting of the giant Christmas tree atop Northside Hospital-Forsyth. The big man himself, Santa Claus, also will be there to take pictures with the children.
This year’s event hopes to be bigger and better than ever as the City of Cumming’s annual Christmas Parade will occur on the same afternoon, concluding at Northside Hospital-Forsyth for the Celebration of Lights.
Proceeds from the Northside Hospital Celebration of Lights benefit Northside’s Cancer Care Program. Each of the lights on the trees represents someone who has been affected by cancer. More cases of cancer are diagnosed and treated at Northside Hospital than at any other hospital in Atlanta. Lights on the trees can be purchased in honor or memory of someone who has been affected by cancer. Lights can be purchased in honor or memory of loved ones by contacting the Northside Hospital Foundation at 404-851-8389.
