For more than ten years, Northside Hospital has been at the forefront of fostering students and teachers in the Atlanta community. Northside’s Partners in Education (PIE) program is a dynamic, two-way relationship with schools to enrich learning and success for 60 schools in seven metro counties. Northside collaborates with schools to implement new initiatives and provides resources and support based on the needs of each individual school.

- News for Kids – 38 Metro Schools
Northside Hospital provides the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a learning tool to 38 schools in the metro-Atlanta area. Students can read about world, national and local events and apply their learnings during school classes.
Team Impact – Cobb County Schools
Team Impact is a group of world-class athletes who capture the attention of students with amazing feats of strength and then give highly motivational messages about peer pressure, drugs, overcoming obstacles and the importance of making positive academic decisions for a successful future.
Partnership Examples
- Supporting career development for students through mentor programs, internships and vocational speakers. Northside has provided hands-on learning opportunities for students in the fields of medicine, nursing and lab technology.
- Providing leadership development for teachers, such as sponsorship of DeKalb’s summer administrative leadership conference and Cobb County’s “Give Our Schools a Hand” program which recognizes teachers-of-the-year.
- Sponsoring student programs, including the Academic Bowl, Science Olympiad, Jump Rope for Heart, Model United Nations and various drug awareness campaigns.
