The Rehabilitation Services Department provides services in many settings: at the hospital, at the Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus and at the Northside Hospital Outpatient Center at Meridian Mark.
Services cover any medical or dental condition or injury, which require the relief of pain and improvement in functional performance.
Audiology Services
Services are provided by licensed audiologists and include: the evaluation of auditory problems for infants, children and adults; auditory brainstem response testing; central auditory testing; otoacoustic emissions testing; tympanometry; hearing aid assessment, dispensing and repair; ENG testing; and other audiological testing. Programmable and digital hearing aids available.

Occupational Therapy
Services are provided by licensed occupational therapists. Evaluation, treatment and education are provided in the following areas: upper extremity and hand rehabilitation, splinting, adaptive equipment, activities of daily living, lymphedema management and treatment, and functional capacity evaluations.

Orthopedic Equipment and Technician Services
Provided by trained technicians for the application of traction hardware, cast application and removal, cast bracing, and dispensing of orthopedic soft goods.

Physical Therapy
Services are provided by licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. The specialists design individualized treatment programs to reduce the effects of pain or weakness on functional abilities. Hydrotherapeutic wound care also is available. Evening appointments are available until 7 p.m. on weekdays.

Speech/Language Pathology Services
Licensed speech/language pathologists offer diagnostic evaluation and therapy for children and adults in the following areas: speech, language, fluency and voice; Dysphagia/swallowing disorders; and Myofunctional disorders. Speech, language, hearing and vision screenings are provided at local preschools and private schools. Offices at Northside Hospital and Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus.
