Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorder can have a profound impact on your life - causing morning headaches, high blood pressure, memory loss, depression and excessive sleepiness during the day. While most sleep problems are not life-threatening, some can result in serious medical conditions. Fortunately, sleep disorders can be treated effectively.

 

The Northside Hospital Sleep Medicine Institute is the first fully accredited sleep disorders center in Georgia. Equipped with the latest technology in diagnosing and treating sleep/wake disorders for adolescents and adults our highly specialized team of sleep professionals are dedicated to identifying the causes of and treating your problem.

 

For your convenience we have three location in Atlanta, Forsyth and Cherokee. Physician referrals are not always needed. Call our location near you for more information.

 

 

FACILITIES

The Northside Hospital Sleep Medicine Institute - Atlanta

Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Institute has consultation offices as well as a six-bedroom laboratory. Our on-site doctors interpret studies done at the lab. Sleep rooms are designed to be quiet and comfortable. Each room has a full bathroom with a shower. Home studies for evaluation of snoring and sleep apnea also are available.

The Sleep Center is a full-service sleep medicine program, offering consultation offices as well a six-bedroom laboratory.  On-site physicians interpret sleep studies performed in the laboratory.

Sleep Disorder Center at Northside Hospital-Cherokee

The Sleep Center offers day and nighttime sleep studies, available five days a week, in its four-bedroom laboratory.  Results are interpreted by board-certified physicians at the Sleep Medicine Institute, who work with local physicians to determine the best course of treatment for the patient

Community Connection - Programs are offered to the community on sleep disorders topics. Our board certified sleep specialists can provide your organization with a speaker at no charge. This service is limited to the Atlanta area.

 

You can call to schedule an appointment directly (most of the time a referral from a physician is not needed), or you may ask your doctor to refer you to the Institute for an evaluation.
