Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities helps the families of Northside Hospital patients in trying times.
“The relationship between Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities and Northside Hospital is unique, and we are honored to be partners,” Alissa Scherb, manager of corporate and foundation relations at ARMHC, said.
“Over the years, Northside Hospital’s incredible support has been seen through adopting rooms, sponsoring events and volunteering. We value this generosity because it helps to ensure that families have a place of comfort while they’re enduring difficult times.”
Since 1979, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities has been keeping families close in times of need. The organization has hosted thousands of families as they care for a child who is receiving treatment for illness or injury, in facilities close to the hospital.
In the first 11 months of 2023, the three guest rooms sponsored by Northside at the Ronald McDonald House on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road played host to 103 family stays from 29 Georgia counties and six other states, for 887 nights of rest, and several of the families received services at Northside Hospital.
Altogether, the rooms saved the families saved nearly $300,000.
“We know that not only can we support the families, but when they go back to Northside Hospital to see their family members, they’re in good hands,” Scherb said.
