Empowering women to prioritize heart health

L&D NSA - thumbnail

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, and pregnancy complications, including heart disease, can occur during pregnancy and up to 12 months after giving birth. Many cases are preventable through awareness, lifestyle choices, early prevention, and being aware of the signs of heart disease.

Northside Hospital Women’s Services proudly participated in a heart health awareness initiative to spread the message that small steps like staying active, eating a heart-healthy diet, managing stress and knowing your numbers can lead to a lifetime of stronger hearts.

By wearing red and coming together, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting women’s cardiovascular health and encouraging our community to take charge of their well-being. Let’s continue the conversation and empower others to make heart-smart daily choices.
