The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute offers a comprehensive array of treatment modalities. This location is conveniently located near GA-400 on the Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus.

The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute diagnoses and treats more cases of cancer than any other hospital in Georgia. Nearly two-thirds of all cancer patients receive radiation therapy at some point during treatment. Northside offers multiple radiation oncology locations throughout Metro Atlanta, providing patients the convenience of treatment close to home or work.

Radiation therapy uses high energy X-rays to destroy cancer cells and prevent cancer from returning. Radiation oncology, also referred to as radiation therapy, uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous or benign tumors. For best treatment results, radiation therapy treatment may be used alone or combined with other modalities, such as chemotherapy or surgery. The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology teams consist of physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, nurses and administrative staff working alongside our board-certified radiation oncologists.

Leading-Edge Technology & Services

Our radiation oncology locations throughout the state offer a wide variety of radiation therapy options to treat all types of cancer including external radiation (or external-beam radiation) modalities and internal radiation (or brachytherapy) modalities. To learn more about the different types of radiation therapy please visit our Radiation Therapy page.
